AMAALA Welcome Center

The Amaala Welcome Center is conceived as a threshold into the landscape — a long, low building stretched beneath a sequence of rising roofs. Their repeated ribs bend and lift across the site, gathering the different spaces of arrival beneath one continuous gesture.
Movement unfolds slowly through shaded interiors, courtyards and planted gardens. Landscape enters deep into the building, appearing between the roofs and alongside the paths, while framed openings pull the horizon back into view. The architecture becomes a sequence of compression and release, shadow and light, enclosure and open air.
The building sits lightly within the terrain, its roofline almost drawn by the wind. Arrival becomes less a single moment than a gradual passage through landscape, architecture and garden.
